Constant Communication
Once you hire me as your doula I am available 24/7 through texts, calls or emails. When people think of doulas they typically imagine the help received during labor but there’s so much more support given before labor begins. I want to be an open ear with zero judgement. I want to listen to your hard days. To help answer questions or guide you on the long list of decisions you need to make. To help things feel less overwhelming.
Prenatal Visits
My services include two prenatal visits. The first meeting around 34 weeks we go through:
medical history
a rough idea of birth preferences
how you see your partner’s, caregiver’s and my involvement
any concerns or fears you and your partner may have.
The second prenatal visit around 36 weeks we’ll go through:
positions and techniques
a deeper conversation about your birth preferences
making sure you feel supported in your decisions
practicing coping skills to figure what you like and don’t like
any questions you and your partner may have.
Birth!
From 37 weeks until birth I am on call. Call me if you feel like things are starting and we’ll talk about when you want me to come. I stay for the whole labor and delivery. I always try and snap after birth photos of those special first moments. I stay after delivery for around 2 hours to help with breastfeeding and make sure everyone feels settled.
Postpartum Visits
I include two postpartum visits. One between 1-5 days after birth and one 2-3 weeks after birth. We’ll go over any questions or concerns you may have. Make sure chest/breastfeeding is going well. Check in to see how everyone is adjusting. A mental and emotional check in at this point is always one of my top priorities. I want everyone to go into this parenting journey as healthy as possible.
Pricing
My full services cost $1,200, half due when the contract is signed and the other half due at the last prenatal visit.
